Using The Economist

It is true: we at Academic Approach are proud of our partnership with The Economist. Is this because we want our students to understand sophisticated diction, grammar, and argument? Is it because we want them to improve their reading proficiency? Is it because we hope, above all, that students are ultimately able, in class and in life, to handle unfamiliar material with confidence? The answers are yes, yes, and yes. In order to achieve these ends, we circulate among our tutors reading suggestions and lesson plans for each week’s issue of The Economist.
